Leaders now find themselves needing to manage teams and manage individuals within their teams experiencing mental health issues. But these same Leaders are uncertain as to how to best deliver strategies. In fact, Leaders tend to not even be informed or knowledgeable as to the resources available to get started. This can be a huge barrier to even getting started.

Leaders are not informed as to how to best determine the ROI (Return on Investment) when committing to workplace mental health strategies. These can include but are not limited to: Productivity / Retention / Presenteeism / Absenteeism / Etc. At the same time, Leaders want to keep costs low.

Business’s and such seem to have a high desire to address Employee Health & Wellness. Many businesses even have Workplace Wellness professionals on staff for this purpose. These professionals, not all of them, tend to not use or apply mental health language or programs in the larger realm of Workplace Wellness. Workplace Wellness and the language behind Workplace Wellness evokes POSITIVITY. Workplace Mental Health and the language behind this evokes NEGATIVITY.

Workplace Mental Health professionals or simply Mental Health professionals continue to point out that there exists so much data (even more so due to Covid) about the importance of addressing mental health. The question that continues to frustrate everyone is…Why are we still having to push and insist on having conversations about mental health?

Businesses or organizations who have already bought into the importance of Workplace Mental Health and who are taking action, go public with their success’s. This in turn leads to positive brand recognition and a much better business image in the public eye.
